The district council of the Salzland district has approved the termination of the job centre premises in Parkstraße as of 31 December 2025. At the same time, the decision was made to rent a new property in Friedensallee/Mozartstraße from 2026.
The job centre's administration is currently based in Mozartstraße in Bernburg. However, customers are looked after in Parkstraße - just under 1.3 kilometres away.
The job centre will move into new premises in the current Sparkasse in the centre of Bernburg from 2026. The Salzlandsparkasse will of course remain on site in Friedensallee with its largest branch in the Salzland district.
"The aim of the move is to merge the two current Bernburg job centre locations from 1 January 2026 with as little impact as possible on the advisory business," explains Thomas Holz, Operations Manager of the Salzlandkreis job centre. In the course of 2025, the Parkstraße building will be prepared for return to the landlord. At the same time, the construction work required due to the change of use will take place in Friedensallee/Mozartstraße. Residents will be informed of the specific changes in good time in 2025.
