How can the job centre provide support?
The Salzlandkreis Job Centre can accept your job offer, but no jobs are registered only for refugees from Ukraine. However, the Employer Service can mark (already registered) jobs as "Suitable to support the integration of immigrants".
Pay particular attention to:
- Name the required language skills (German only? If so, at what level? Are good English skills an alternative? Do you already have Ukrainian-speaking employees who facilitate/enable communication in the workplace?)
- Working time framework
- Accessibility by public transport
- Can the activity be combined with a language course?
Can funding be applied for?
In principle, the same requirements apply for sponsorship as for domestic applicants:
- Measures to promote continuing vocational training for employees require sufficient language skills (as a rule at least B1 or better B2 ) that indicate successful participation.
- In order to receive an integration subsidy (EGZ), the potential employee must be registered with the Salzlandkreis Job Centre and receive benefits before taking up employment.
- A lack of language skills alone is not a reason for funding.
What needs to be considered in the employment contract?
The general statutory minimum wage in Germany is the minimum wage that must not be undercut. Separate
minimum wages apply in some sectors.Access to regulated professions
In professions in the fields of nursing, health, education and, in some cases, pharmacy, as well as for legal specialists, certain rules apply to access to the profession. Foreign professional and academic qualifications must be recognised here. In addition, certain language skills are mandatory in these areas and must be proven by a certificate or attestation.
