Work opportunities with additional expenses in accordance with Section 16d SGB II
Beneficiaries who are capable of working may be assigned to job opportunities in order to maintain or regain their employability, which is necessary for integration into the labour market.
The prerequisite for this is that the work to be performed is in the public interest, additional and not competitive.
Other benefits aimed at integration into work, which can directly support the take-up of gainful employment on the general labour market, take precedence over work opportunities. Beneficiaries who
are capable of working may not, as a rule, be assigned to work opportunities for more than a total of 24 months within a period of 5 years.Who can organise work opportunities?
Suitable natural or legal persons or partnerships may act as implementing bodies. In addition to municipal institutions, welfare organisations, associations or bodies organised under private law may also be considered.
The Salzlandkreis Job Centre checks the suitability of the measure provider with regard to the lawful, proper and promising implementation of the work, including with a view to reliable, sufficient, financial and measure-appropriate resources (in terms of personnel, equipment and space) and ensuring the support of those eligible for benefits who are capable of working.
In order to ensure the appropriate allocation of individual AGHs, the providers are requested to inform the Salzlandkreis Job Centre of the specific professional skills of their employees (e.g. social education workers, psychologists, addiction counsellors, etc.).How do I apply for work opportunities?
Due to the general conditions, the demand setting for the implementation of work opportunities takes place once a year. Please submit your offers by 15 January. If, in individual cases, the realisation of work opportunities beyond the published requirements is desired, this is done in individual consultation with the providers.

Persons capable of earning and entitled to benefits are not entitled to be assigned to a specific work opportunity. Similarly, there is no legal entitlement on the part of the organisation to allocate a specific employable person entitled to benefits.

Vocational activation and integration measures in accordance with § 45 SGB III
Beneficiaries who are capable of working can receive support if they participate in measures that promote their integration into the labour market by introducing them to the training and labour market, identifying, reducing or eliminating barriers to placement, placing them in employment subject to social insurance contributions, introducing them to self-employment or stabilising their entry into employment.
In order to activate beneficiaries who are capable of working but whose integration into the labour market is particularly difficult due to serious barriers to placement, in particular due to the duration of their unemployment, measures should be promoted which, in terms of their content and duration, take into account the increased need for stabilisation and support of the unemployed.Allocation of group measures in accordance with § 45 Para. 1 SGB III
The Salzlandkreis Job Centre can commission providers with the implementation of measures in accordance with public procurement law.
Activation voucher in accordance with § 45 Para. 4 No. 1 and 3 SGB III
The Salzlandkreis Job Centre can issue an activation voucher with a specifically agreed activation objective and content to those eligible for benefits who meet the requirements. The activation voucher can be limited in time and region.
The activation voucher entitles the holder to choose an organisation that offers a measure that corresponds to the objective and content of the measure and is approved in accordance with § 179 SGB III.
