Bernburg. Torsten Sielmon, the Disability Officer for the Salzlandkreis, invites stakeholders involved in disability work to the district administration offices in Bernburg, at Karlsplatz 37, to discuss the concerns of people with disabilities in the region and to jointly develop projects aimed at greater inclusion and accessibility: on 15 April at 2.00 pm (Room 411). At this meeting, attendees will also be introduced to the Salzlandkreis’s new website, www.salzlandkreis.de.
This all-in-circle meeting is intended to strengthen cooperation between people with disabilities and their concerns, the respective region and their elected representatives. The Disability Commissioner sees the "Alle-im-Kreis-Treff" as a kind of visit or series of talks in which he discusses current issues with the stakeholders.
The aims of the campaign are Improving communication and cooperation between disabled people and the municipal authorities; strengthening the position of disabled people and promoting their participation in the Salzland district; initiating and implementing projects that improve inclusion and accessibility in the Salzland district.
Inclusion: The inclusion and participation of all people, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, in all areas of public life.
Accessibility: The design of the environment and public facilities in such a way that they can be used by all people, including people with disabilities, without restrictions.
Torsten Sielmon, the honorary representative for disabled people in the Salzland district, was elected by the district council to advocate for and represent the interests and rights of disabled people in the region.
