"Where Saxony-Anhalt meets" – this is the motto of Saxony-Anhalt Day in Bernburg (Saale). From 5 to 7 June 2026, the state of Saxony-Anhalt and the host city invite you to Bernburg for the 24th state festival. The upcoming state festival, which is being held in Bernburg for the second time, marks the 30th anniversary of Saxony-Anhalt Day. The city on the Saale River was already the host city for the first Saxony-Anhalt Day in 1996. Bernburg, centrally located and historically connected to the Anhalt region, expects numerous visitors. The city impressed in its application with its infrastructure and historical significance for the state.
Minister of State and Minister for Culture, Rainer Robra: "Many citizens still have fond memories of the first Saxony-Anhalt Day organised there in 1996 and there are numerous reasons to return to Bernburg in the 30th anniversary year of the event."
