New licence after withdrawal
Applications for the reissue of a driving licence following a previous withdrawal are only processed at the Bernburg office.
Information on reissuing a driving licence will be sent to you after receipt of the legally binding penalty order or judgement with a note on the expiry of the suspension period.
As a result of the application processing, a decision will be made in accordance with the relevant regulations as to whether you as the person concerned must provide a medical-psychological report from an officially recognised assessment centre for driving fitness (BfF). This is the case if your driving licence has been repeatedly revoked or if it was revoked due to a criminal offence in connection with road traffic or if there are indications of a high potential for aggression. A medical-psychological report is also required with regard to narcotics and drugs or in the case of alcohol problems (repeated alcohol-related offences in road traffic, drunk driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 1.6 per mille or more or a breath alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.8 mg/l or more, other indications of habitual alcohol abuse or alcohol dependency).

- Paper photograph that complies with the provisions of the Passport Regulation of 19 October 2007 (no digital photos)
- Certificate of good conduct according to § 30 Federal Central Register Act (BZRG) (to be applied for at the responsible registration office and directly to the Salzlandkreis, 32 FD Ordnung und Straßenverkehr, Fahrerlaubnisbehörde in 06400 Bernburg (Saale) The certificate of good conduct must not be older than 1 month at the time of application.
- proof of training in first aid and
- an eye test certificate (not older than two years)

- A certificate of physical or mental aptitude in accordance with the official model in Annex 5 FeV - not older than one year
