Text size
You can enlarge the text using the CTRL and + keys (on the far right of the number field). The image adjusts automatically. Use CTRL and - to make the text smaller again.
Have it read aloud
You can have the content of our website read aloud to you using read-aloud programmes. The pages are structured in such a way that you will find the most important information at the beginning. Images and graphics are provided with alternative texts. Documents are uploaded as PDF files and not as images.
Navigate without a mouse
You can use our menu not only with the mouse, but also with the Tab key. Each click of the Tab key takes you one step further in the navigation. When you reach the page you want to call up, press Enter. To scroll, please use the arrow keys.
Breadcrumb navigation
In addition to the menu, you can also orientate yourself on each page using the so-called "breadcrumbs". You will find this navigation above the large image. There you can jump back to other, higher-level pages.
Links
Internal and external links are identified both by colour and with a marker (external). Additional information is provided by the so-called title attribute, which is displayed in graphical browsers as soon as the mouse points to the link. Users of assistive programmes may have to activate additional functions in order to obtain this information.

Most of the photos on this website already have alternative texts. Illustrations, diagrams and graphics have not yet been fully implemented, but will be added gradually.

Easy language
Derzeit gibt es nur eine begrenzte Anzahl an Inhalten, die in leichter Sprache beschrieben sind. Das Jobcenter arbeitet daran, das Angebot zu erweitern.
Arbitration procedure
An arbitration board has been established at the Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Persons with Disabilities in accordance with Section 16 of the Federal Disability Act (BGG). Arbitration proceedings can be initiated upon application.
The arbitration board in accordance with Section 16 BGG has the task of settling disputes between people with disabilities and public authorities on the subject of accessibility out of court. Unlike many court proceedings, arbitration proceedings are free of charge. No legal assistance is required.
Dabei geht es nicht in erster Linie darum, Gewinner oder Verlierer zu finden, sondern gemeinsam mit Hilfe der Schlichtungsstelle den Konflikt zu lösen.
