General information on the counselling services
According to § 6 (1) No. 2 in conjunction with § 16a No. 1 - 4 SGB II, districts and independent cities are obliged to provide municipal integration services. These include
- Caring for minor or disabled children or providing home care for relatives,
- debt counselling,
- Psychosocial support offered in the district under the name "Social Counselling" as well as
- Addiction counselling.
Municipal integration services are additional integration services in the form of assistance and counselling services with the aim of compensating for placement obstacles such as childcare, caring for sick relatives, debts, addictions and/or psychosocial problems in order to secure, optimise and/or guarantee the integration of recipients of the citizen's allowance in particular on the regular or subsidised employment market. In addition to eliminating current labour market policy problems, it is primarily necessary from the perspective of work integration to reduce barriers to placement in order to facilitate integration into the labour market. There is no doubt that debt, addiction problems, securing childcare, psychological and social problems are difficulties that make it difficult or even impossible to take up employment.
The counselling services are located in the Salzlandkreis job centre. Three areas of responsibility are implemented directly: debt counselling, social counselling and addiction counselling. In addition, there is cooperation with the independent welfare organisations and other agencies in order to achieve coordination, bundling and targeted task management. Coordination processes between and with the regional centres are key tasks in the area of responsibility
How can I take advantage of the offers?
All those seeking help and their relatives in the Salzland district who find themselves in individual life crises or conflict situations are eligible - regardless of their income. If necessary, each person receives support from the employees of the department.
