Tasks
The Equal Opportunities Officer (BCA) at the Salzlandkreis Job Centre is responsible for the legal and business policy implementation of equal opportunities in terms of gender and diversity, and represents the Salzlandkreis Job Centre in overarching issues relating to:
- Advancement of women and men
- Compatibility of family and career
- Equality in the labour market
- Support for people of foreign origin
- Support for people with disabilities

The BCA's responsibilities include the following areas in particular:
- Advice and support for employers, employees and their organisations in the above-mentioned fields of action
- Information on the situation of women in the training and labour market
- Identifying the need for action when disadvantages need to be reduced
- The BCA works together with regional organisations and authorities involved in women's employment issues to ensure equal participation for women
- It also advises and supports the specialist and management staff of the Salzlandkreis Job Centre in carrying out specialist tasks in a way that is appropriate for women and families and is involved in the development of business policy concepts of the Salzlandkreis Job Centre for the equality of women and men in the labour market.
- Random checks of the employment, activation and training measures of the Salzlandkreis Job Centre for compliance with equal opportunities in the labour market
- It answers questions about part-time vocational training, career entry and progression for women, flexible working hours, women and men returning to work after a family break (e.g. parental leave, women starting up their own business)
- Analogue and digital preparation of information material on the topic of equal opportunities in the labour market
- Independent preparation and implementation of internal and external information events on equal opportunities in the labour market
