Service description
If you would like to apply for a licence to carry sabres, epees, stag catchers, sapper's axes or similar edged weapons for a shooting club or local club, you can do so at your local firearms authority.
The firearms authority in whose district the event is to take place is responsible.
The authorisation form can be downloaded from the website of the responsible police authority.
A permit must then be carried at the customary events and presented to the police on request.
Procedure
The following information is required for the application:
-Club name
-Name
-first name
-Nationality
-Date of birth
-Place of birth
-Address
-Type of event at which the weapons are to be carried
-When do they take place?
-Where and in what form do they take place?
-Are alcoholic beverages served at these events?
-Which weapons should be carried? For firearms: Type, manufacturer, owner, gun licence number
-Why should these be managed?
-Will the weapons be carried for the entire duration of the event?
- Has such an application already been submitted in the past? If yes: Authority, date, file number
- Confirmation on your part that the information provided is correct and that you are aware that the application is subject to a fee
-Place, date, your signature

Please contact the firearms authority in your district. If you live in Dessau-Roßlau, please also contact the firearms authority.
If you live in Halle or Magdeburg, please contact the respective police department.
Prerequisites
You must be reliable under firearms law, which means that you must not have any criminal proceedings pending. This will be checked.
