Financial investment and property loan broker
Anyone wishing to provide investment advice and brokerage services for financial investments within the meaning of Section 34f of the Trade Regulation Act (GewO) or broker real estate loans within the meaning of Section 34i GewO requires a licence in accordance with the Trade Regulation Act.
Requirements for the licence

- Proof of orderly financial circumstances
- Proof of professional indemnity insurance
- Proof of expertise
Register of intermediaries
In addition to the licence, financial investment and property loan brokers must be entered in the register of brokers kept by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Applications for registration can be found on the website of your local Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). The forms you fill in are then sent to the IHK via the Salzland district.

Property loan broker
Trade fairs, exhibitions and wholesale markets
Anyone wishing to organise a trade fair, exhibition or wholesale market can apply to the Salzlandkreis district authority for a commercial licence in accordance with Section 69 of the Trade Regulation Act (GewO).

Legal basis
Combating undeclared work
The Salzland district, specialist service for order and road traffic, is responsible for combating illegal employment in the event of offences under trade and craft law.
The legal basis is provided by Section 2(3) of the Act to Combat Undeclared Work and Illegal Employment (SchwarzArbG).
Accordingly, offences against the trade or craft regulations are deemed to have been committed if:
- the obligation to notify the start of the independent operation of a standing trade has not been fulfilled or the required travelling trade licence has not been obtained (lack of business registration)
- a craft requiring a licence is operated independently as a standing trade and there is no entry in the register of craftsmen.
